PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve a component improving efficiency of whole development by considering correction cost for using the component in program development using the component. SOLUTION: A component retrieval device is provided with a component use investigation part investigating presence or absence of use of the component in an existed program, a use form judging part judging a use form of the component in the program and calculating adaptation, a use information repository recording an application field of the program together with the adaptation and a retrieval part retrieving the useful component by using the adaptation.
