PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wide angle of view by dividing a pixel into a plurality of domains. SOLUTION: The display includes: gate lines 121 formed on a first substrate 110; data lines 171 formed on the first substrate and intersecting the gate lines in a insulated manner; pixel electrodes 190 which are formed for each of pixels defined by intersection of the gate lines and data lines and each of which is divided into a plurality of small regions by first cutouts 191 to 195; thin film transistors 173, 175 connected to the gate lines, data lines and pixel electrodes; an insulating second substrate 210 facing the first substrate; and a common electrode 270 formed on the second substrate and having second cutouts 271 to 275 which work with the first cutouts to divide the pixel into a plurality of domains. At least a part of the second cutouts overlaps with the data lines, and the portions of the second cutouts in adjacent pixels and overlapping with the data line are alternately arranged along the data line. This results in a decrease in the load on the data line, reduced changes in the liquid crystal capacitance over the data lines, decrease in light leakage due to side face crosstalk, and increase in the aperture ratio.
