PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber array which can be easily manufactured at a low cost and has high reliability and its manufactured method. SOLUTION: The optical fiber array is provided with at least an optical fiber ribbon exposed with a plurality of optical fibers by removing their coatings, a concave groove substrate for positioning the optical fiber ribbon and a cover, and it is characterised in that the concave groove substrate has concave groove sections which house the plurality of the exposed optical fibers and an installation part which follows the same and fixes the optical fiber ribbon, and the plurality of the exposed optical fibers are arranged at prescribed intervals and held by a cover cooperatively with the base surfaces of the concave grooves and adhesives are packed between the concave grooves, and the plurality of the optical fibers and the cover.
