PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction and reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: In an electrooptic panel, a pixel P is provided corresponding to the crossing of a data line 3 and a scanning line 2. The pixel P is provided with a holding capacity C, an inverter INV, and a first to a third transistors TR1-TR3. In a reading period, the data stored in the holding capacity C is reversed by the inverter INV and re-written in the holding capacity C. In a holding period, the second transistor TR2 is turned on. Also, in the reading period, the potential of a high potential power source VDDM is made higher, while the potential of a low potential power source VSSM is made lower than that in the holding period.
