PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the result of target correlation has tended to be at a location displaced from a representative location (location of center of gravity) of a target with error in a prediction vector in a conventional target tracking apparatus. SOLUTION: The target tracking apparatus is provided with a radar device 1 for observing a target, a smoother 6 for computing a smoothed value of the state of the target, a predictor 12 for computing a predicted location of the state of the target on the basis of the smoothed value, an initial cluster register 13 for registering the predicted location computed by the predictor as an initial cluster, a cluster distance computer 3 for computing the distance between a representative location of each cluster and each detection data of the target, an analogous data retriever 4 for retrieving detection data having a small distance computed by the cluster distance computer, and a cluster coupler 5 for coupling the detection data retrieved by the analogous data retriever to a corresponding cluster.
