ERECTION METHOD FOR GRADE SEPARATION VIADUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the work efficiency of erection work and to eliminate the necessity of securing an installation space for an excavator near an intersection in erecting a grade separation viaduct at the intersection. SOLUTION: In erecting the grade separation viaduct at the intersection 104, a lateral pair of girders 50 are installed on a main girder 14 under erection, and these girders 50 are used to simultaneously carry out the extension erection of the main girder 14 in a prescribed span S2 and the construction of foundation work 16C and a bridge pier 12C located at the front end part of a preceding span S3 adjacent to the front side of the prescribed span S2. Common erection equipment and materials called the girders 50 are thus used to carry out the extension erection of the main girder 14 and the construction of the foundation work 16C and bridge pier 12C. The number of erection equipment and materials is thereby reduced, and the necessity of securing the installation space for the excavator 58 near the intersection 104 is eliminated. Further, the work efficiency of erection work is enhanced by simultaneously carrying out the extension erection of the main girder 14 and the construction of the foundation work 16C and bridge pier 12C in different spans.
