PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable transplanter with which the planted position of a seedling is prevented from being disordered by a natural wind, the planted position of the seedling is made proper and root taking properties and growth and development are hereby improved. SOLUTION: In the vegetable transplanter having constitution that a transplanting tine 51 and soil covering wheels 22 are placed in a longitudinal arrangement, during the progress of a machine body, the transplanting tine 51 is dropped and displaced to fix a seedling to the ground surface, then the root part of the seedling is covered with soil by the soil covering wheels 22, the soil covered part is tamped and these operations are repeated, the vegetable transplanter is equipped with a filmy body 100 for preventing natural wind from blowing into a region part p1 from the surroundings of the lowermost drop position of the transplanting tine 51 to the soil covering wheels 22.
