<p>The leaf guard is a plate element (36) defined by front and rear edges (2, 3) and two side edges (4,5) and divided through a bending line parallel to the front edge into two plate sections (23,25) arranged at an obtuse angle to each other so that when laid the plate section on the gutter side covers the relevant eave like a skirt. A ledge (50) extending over the entire width of the plate element is used to fit a leaf grid (40).
