<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data erasing method of an optical disk by which deterioration of characteristics due to heating can be suppressed, and to provide the optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: This method is constituted by having: a first step in which data in an optical disk are erased by irradiating the optical disk with a light having power of multi-stages; a second step in which its RF (radio frequency) signal is obtained by irradiating a region in which data is erased with light after the first step of the optical disk; and a third step in which erase-power of the light in which amplitude of the RF signal obtained in the optical disk second step is made the prescribed value or less is calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
