<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material with no discoloration on a texture and with good storing properties. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal recording material is provided on a support body with a thermal recording layer comprising a heat-responding microcapsule enclosing a diazonium salt compound and a coupler forming a coloring matter by reacting with the diazonium salt compound.
