<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the moving speed of the front part of a hood at a collision of vehicle without increasing the spring force forming a hood lock mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: Reinforcements 36 are fitted to the rear face of a vehicle body near the lateral outer side of an opening 34 in a radiator support 32, and actuators 24 are fixed to the vehicle body rear faces of the reinforcements 36. When these actuators 24 are operated and a rotating shaft 24A is rotated in a specified direction, a lock striker 44 together with a base plate 40 to which a nut 42 screwed with the rotating shaft 24A is fixed are moved from a lower limit position (normal position) to the upper side of the vehicle body and moved to a projected position so that the front part 30B of the hood 30 to which the hood lock 46 is fixed can be moved to the upper side of the vehicle body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
