<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a display panel capable of excellent image display wherein a dither pattern is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: Display lines of the display panel are divided into M display line groups of [M×(k-1)+1], [M×(k-1)+2], [M×(k-1)+3], ..., [M×(k-1)+M] display lines (M: a natural number, k: a natural number smaller than m/M). Mutually different offset values are allocated to the respective display line groups and pixel data corresponding to the display line groups are added to obtain multi-gradational pixel data. Respective pixel cells belonging to display line groups which are mutually different in respective M subfields among subfields constituting one field of a video signal are set to a lighting mode or light-out mode according to the multi-gradational pixel data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
