摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display in which a light emitting FPC (flexible print circuit) is prevented from dropping or slipping off from the connector of a driving FPC. <P>SOLUTION: The upper end edge of the driving FPC 11 is connected to the lower end edge on the surface side of the array substrate 4 of an LCD cell 2. A back light 21 is disposed with the light emitting face 27 opposed to the back face side of the LCD cell 2. A connecting chip 32 in the upper end of the light emitting FPC 31 which energizes a light emitting diode 24 of the back light 21 is connected to the lower end edge of the light emitting face 27 of the back light 21. This reduces the discrepancy of the leading position between the driving FPC 11 and the light emitting FPC 31. The center part 35 of the light emitting FPC 11 is formed into an S-shape in the front view so that the distance between both ends can be increased or decreased. When the driving FPC 11 and the light emitting FPC 31 are folded or unfolded, the center part of the light emitting FPC 31 stretches or shrinks in the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
