<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive lithographic printing original plate for IR laser which is excellentin development latitude, high in sensitivity and high in plate wear. <P>SOLUTION: The plate comprises a lower layer and an image recording layer successively layered on a supporting body. The lower layer contains a copolymer by ≥50 mass% containing (a-1) a monomer having a sulfoneamide group, (a-2) a monomer having an active imino group, and (a-3) a monomer selected from acrylamide, methacrylamide, acrylate, methacrylate and hydroxystyrene, as the copolymer component by ≥10 mol%. The recording layer contains an alkali-soluble resin having a phenolic hydroxyl group by ≥50 mass% and an IR absorbing dye. The residual low molecular weight substance in the copolymer containing the monomers (a-1) to (a-3) as the copolymer component is ≤3 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
