METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADAPTING CLUTCH TORQUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the adaptation of clutch torque to changes by the continuous variations of the relation between the detected torque and the formed pressure pMFin a torque detecting device.

SOLUTION: The method for adapting the clutch torque is provided with the torque detecting device 14 which is arranged between the clutch 4 and a transmission 6 having a continuous variable gear ratio and which is for generating an output amount related with the detected torque and the current gear ratio of the transmission. The method is for adapting the relation filed in an electronic controller between the torque transmittable by the clutch 4 arranged in an automated vehicle power train and a control amount for controlling an operation device 22 of the clutch. In the method, the torque transmitted by the clutch 4 is calculated from the current gear ratio of the transmission and a value of the output amount. The transmitted torque is made to correspond to the control amount as updated and transmittable torque in an operation state that the torque transmittable by the clutch 4 and the transmitted torque become equal.
