<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chat system capable of accurately presenting a message in a different display method. <P>SOLUTION: This chat system allowing instant exchange of a message between a plurality of users is provided with a plurality of user terminal devices each having an input means and a display means and a server device connected to a plurality of user terminal devices via communication lines. The user terminal or the server device has a message conversion means, which recognizes each message inputted by each user through the input means and converts the message, and a user information addition means.
