PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push switch device capable of reducing the contact noise generated by first and second ratchet teeth when an operation body is pressed/released. SOLUTION: The first ratchet tooth 15 is formed on the operation body 3 made of an elastomer, and the second ratchet tooth 16 is formed on a cam follower 4 made of a synthetic resin material. The cam follower 4 is elastically energized by a second coil spring 7 in the upward direction to allow the first and second ratchet teeth 15, 16 to engage, and a first coil spring 5 having a spring load smaller than the spring load of the second coil spring 7 is provided between the operation body 3 and the cam follower 4. During the operation body 3 is not operated, the rotation of the cam follower 4 is limited by the guide part of a case 2, to allow the first and second ratchet teeth 15, 16 to be engaged in a non-stable position. As the operation body 3 is pressed, the first and second ratchet teeth 15, 16 are phase-shifted to a stable position, allowing the cam follower 4 to rotate, which accordingly permits an actuation member 6 for operating a contact switching mechanism to rotate integrally.
