PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet reluctant rotating electric machine that can keep the strength of a centrifugal force while preventing the lowering of performance caused by the flux leakage of a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: A pair of magnet insertion holes 3, 3 are formed at the external periphery of a rotor core 2 so that an opposing distance between the holes is continuously increased toward the external periphery, the permanent magnets 4, 4 are inserted and fixed to the pair of magnet insertion holes 3, 3, and a hollow part 7 is formed between the pair of permanent magnets 4, 4 at the rotor core 2.
