TRANSMITTING METHOD, RECEIVING METHOD AND A RECEIVER OF DIGITAL TELEVISION BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of video image break and sound break when the receiving state is deteriorated in a receiver of digital television broadcast. SOLUTION: A broadcasting station multiplexes a first ES being an ES of a video signal and an ES of a sound signal and a second ES formed by delaying the first ES into a single TS, and broadcasts the single TS. The receiver is provided with: a decoder circuit 13 which separates and takes out the first ES and the second ES from the received TS; and a buffer memory 14 which delays the first taken out ES by a prescribed time. The receiver is further provided with: a decoder circuit 16 which decodes and outputs the video signal and the sound signal from one ES of the first ES which is delayed and the second ES which is taken out; a detection circuit 18 which detects a missing packet when the packet in one of the ESs is missing; and an interpolation circuit 15 which interpolates missing of the packet by using a corresponding packet in the other ES when the detection circuit 18 detects missing of the packet.
