PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized and height-reduced surface acoustic wave filter and its manufacturing method which needs a hollow near the surface of an SAW filter element and facilitates forming the hollow. SOLUTION: An SAW filter is manufactured by disposing a filter functional part composed of an IDT, bonding pads, etc. on a main surface of a piezoelectric board, coating a resin around the filter functional part to form a support frame, and covering the opening of the support frame with a cover to form a hollow above the filter functional part.
