PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material with image color tone and image preservability simultaneously improved. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material containing a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, reducing agents and a binder on the same surface of a support, at least one of the reducing agents is a compound represented by formula 1, wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>1'</SP>each independently represent a 1-20C alkyl; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>2'</SP>each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent substitutable on a benzene ring; R<SP>3</SP>represents a substituent forming a 3- to 7-membered ring consisting of atoms selected from C, O, N, S, and P; and X and X' each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a group substitutable on a benzene ring.
