PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking direction recognizing device for allowing a driver to recognize the error of a parking direction in a vehicle without requiring any human labor. SOLUTION: Electronic number plates 1a and 1b are mounted at the front part and rear part of a vehicle 10. The electronic number plates are respectively provided with a plate information storing means for storing plate identification information for identifying the front plate from the rear plate. When the vehicle is parked in the parking lot, a road communication terminal 11 in the parking lot communicates with the electronic number plates, and reads the plate identification information. A road communication terminal managing center 12 decides the correction of the parking direction of the front parking or backward parking based on the plate identification information transmitted from the road communication terminal.
