PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain manufacturing equipment of a shock absorber for packaging which enables zigzag folding of a sheet by one motion, of which the folding mechanism is simple and of low cost and hardly fails and which also enables single-touch and easy alteration of a folding pitch and instantaneous replacement of a mold. SOLUTION: This equipment has a pair of upper and lower folding plate units 2 and 3 sandwiching a sheet carrying path. The folding plate units have respectively a plurality of folding plates 7 and 9 provided slidably on guide rods 5 and each space between the folding plates is set to be a folding pitch by a compression spring 8. The sheet 30 is positioned between the upper-side folding plate unit 2 and the lower-side folding plate unit 3 and the folding unit 2 is lowered by a cylinder 17. Thereby the folding plates 7 and 9 are made to engage with a folding line of the sheet and they move in the width direction and fold the sheet in zigzag at one time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
