PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an outer blade cartridge of an electric razor from being accidentally detached by prohibiting the outer blade cartridge from being separated from an outer blade holder as long as the outer blade holder is mounted on a razor head. SOLUTION: The electric razor comprises the outer blade holder 12 and the outer blade cartridge C detachably mounted on the outer blade holder 12, and a second lock mechanism for locking and holding the outer blade cartridge is mounted between left and right walls of the outer blade holder 12 and the outer blade cartridge C. The second lock mechanism comprises an engagement recess 83 formed on a side frame 81 of the outer blade holder 12, an elastic engagement pawl 88 mounted on a side frame 86 of a cartridge frame 79 of the outer blade cartridge C, and a lock releasing piece 160 for releasing the lock of the elastic engagement pawl 88. In the electric razor, a cover wall 163 is mounted on the razor head 2 for covering the whole outer surface of the lock releasing piece 160 when the outer blade holder 12 is mounted on an attaching part 143.
