The combined storage device has a storage bag (1) with two snap-lock strips (11) along each side of an opening and which are joined together to seal the bag. The storage bag has a one-way valve (12) in order to draw out air inside. The bag has a rigid plate (13) extending over the bottom side and through which the storage bag can be widened. The bag is accommodated inside a storage box (2). When the air is drawn from the storage bag it shrinks around the contour of the object, and this is then accommodated in the storage box. An independent claim is included for an expandable storage bag.
