<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge tube break detecting system for detecting discharge tube break without installing a non-lighting detecting circuit in an individual neon-sign transformer or an individual discharge tube. <P>SOLUTION: A photographing device 6 is installed in a position where lighting and lights out of the discharge tube 8 can be confirmed. Photographing of the discharge tube 8 is conducted with the photographing device 6, and a photographed image of the discharge tube 8 is stored in a storage means of the photographing device 6. The photographed image of the discharge tube 8 stored with the storage means is sent to a remote monitoring device 9 with a communication means, and by being compared with a normal lighting image previously stored in a memory part 13, the discharge tube break can be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
