IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSOR, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND PROGRAM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and an image processor for highly precisely deciding the direction of an image without depending on any human help and a program for executing or operating them and a storage medium for storing the program.

SOLUTION: When it is judged that any portrait image is not included in one picture, the direction of the image of one picture is decided based on background featured values obtained by contrasting featured values extracted from one area of one picture with featured values extracted from another area from an image signal equivalent to one picture. Thus, it is possible to highly precisely decide the orientation of the image from the background featured values even when any portrait image is not included in one picture.
