<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for efficiently and easily performing a setting operation required for print processing from terminal equipment. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 to be used when connected to a local area network 6 is provided with a network control part 3 for controlling its connection to normal(for example, stationary) terminal equipment 7a, 7b and 7c and portable terminal equipment 8 and a storage device 5 in which a driver necessary for the use of the image forming device 1 is stored so as to be able to perform in response to its connection from the portable terminal equipment 8.
