PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pan capable of preventing fracture while buffering an applied impact. SOLUTION: This oil pan 1 comprises an outer shape forming member 2, a reinforcing member 7 having higher stiffness than the outer shape forming member 2. The outer surface of the reinforcing member facing the inner surface of the outer shape forming member is disposed close to at least part of the inner surface of the outer shape forming member, therefore the deformation of the outer shape forming member is inhibited. At least part of the outer face of the reinforcing member facing the inner surface of the outer shape forming member is isolated from the inner surface of the outer shape forming member. The distance between the isolated outer surface of the reinforcing member and the inner surface of the outer shape forming member is set at such a distance that the deformation amount of the outer shape forming member is smaller than the deformation amount in fracturing the outer shape forming member, when the inner surface of the outer shape forming member comes into contact with the outer surface of the reinforcing member by deforming the outer shape forming member.
