PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a lift for an automobile to lift and lower the entire body of the respective automobiles with different widths by itself to improve workability. SOLUTION: A base 2 is provided with a pantograph-type lift means 3 and a cylinder 10 driving the lift means 3 for lifting and lowering. A receiving plate 7 is provided on an upper part of the lift means 3, and sliding members 11, 12 are provided on both end parts of the receiving plate 7 so as to move in a horizontal direction. Receiving parts 13, 14 on which an object to be lifted and lowered is loaded are provided on end parts outside the both sliding members 11, 12, and a distance between the both receiving parts 13, 14 is adjusted by the movement of the sliding members 11, 12.
