PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an installation confirmation system for confirming whether or not a recording device is properly delivered to a scheduled delivery destination and set in a usable state.

SOLUTION: A personal computer 100 comprises a user identification information acquisition part 12 for acquiring the user ID of a user; an individual recognition information acquisition part 14 for acquiring the serial number of a printer 200 when a printer driver for controlling the printer 200 is normally installed to the personal computer 100; and a completion reporting part 16 for determining, by communication with an installation confirmation server 400, whether or not the combination of the user ID acquired by the acquisition part 12 and the serial number acquired by the acquisition part 14 is matched to a combination of user ID and serial number stored in the installation confirmation server 400, and reporting, when the both are matched together, the completion of installation of the printer 200 to the installation confirmation server 400.
