<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert molding method which is inexpensive in mold expense and can insert-mold a fragile component. <P>SOLUTION: An insert component 2 is positioned at a prescribed position between opened molds 1 by a support part 12 for supporting it outside the molds and while a molten resin 4 is extruded in the shape of a pipe between the molds 1 through a die 3, the insert component 2 is arranged in the internal space 13 of the pipe. By clamping the molds 1, the pipe-shaped molten resin 4 is molded to coat the insert component 2 to form an insert-molded article 20. In spite of the insert molding method, the mold expense can be reduced since a high pressure holding process is unnecessary.
