<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical element which has an extremely reduced possibility of a short-circuit, high reliability, and a high electric capacity, and a plurality of which can be efficiently manufactured at the same time. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrochemical element having an electrode plate group composed of at least one first electrode (a), at least one second electrode (b), and a separator (c) interposed between the first and the second electrodes (a), (b), each of the first electrodes (a) is composed of a first collector sheet and at least one first electrode mixture layer carried thereby, and each of the second electrodes (b) is composed of a second collector sheet and at least one second electrode mixture layer carried thereby.
