ELECTRIC COMPRESSOR AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of reducing manufacturing cost.

SOLUTION: The electric compressor has a compressing mechanism housed in a compressor housing and compresses gas by driving the compressing mechanism by an electric motor. A cover member 38 is joined and fixed on an outside of the compressor housing (a first housing structure body 21) and a motor drive circuit 41 for driving the electric motor is housed in a housing space 35 surrounded by the first housing structure body 21 and the cover member 38. The motor drive circuit 41 is mounted on the cover member 38. The electric compressor is assembled by joining and fixing the cover member 38 on the first housing structure body 21 after mounting the motor drive circuit 41 on the cover member 38.
