<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive quality monitor system reducing the load with respect to an OS (operating system), CPU (central processor unit) of a user's computer, unnecessitating a new storage area, and capable of reducing also a load caused by the execution of a test, and to provide a disk drive quality monitoring method and a program. <P>SOLUTION: The user's computers 10, a monitoring server 20 for monitoring the quality state of the disk drives 14 of the user's computers 10 and an operational manager terminal 30 for controllably operating the user's computers 10 are connected through a network 100, and a smart information storage part 141 is prepared in the disk drive 14, and the smart information storage part 141 is utilized for the quality monitoring operation of the disk drive 14, and the detection of the occurrece of error or the storage are carried out at the inside of the disk drive, and a required test only is carried out in accordance with values of the quality information obtained from the smart information storage part 141. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
