<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath which enables the retaining of a catheter at a specified position in vivo along with a higher hemostatic effect by making the hemostatic valve replaceable when broken. <P>SOLUTION: In the sheath (1), a sheath hub (2) is divided into two members, a tube connection part (2A) and a hemostatic valve housing part (2B) and the two members are made detachable.
