<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate for direct platemaking, the plate having high sensitivity during forming an image, giving high allowance against changes in the concentration of an alkali developing solution, and having sufficient plate wear and chemical resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate is capable of forming an image by irradiation of IR laser. The plate has a first layer containing an alkali-soluble resin as the main component and a second layer containing another alkali-soluble resin different from the alkali-soluble resin included as the main component in the first layer and a polymethine dye having an iminium salt group as a substituent on the polymethine chain, layered in this order on a supporting body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
