PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and a projector video which can relatively recognize a dark region in video as black by providing a part as the reference of luminance around the video, and also, which can recognize as black even if the luminance at a black part is increased by the existence of a relatively brighter frame, even when the luminance at the black part of the video projected in a relatively bright projection environment. SOLUTION: The projector is so constituted that a video is formed at the center of a projector projection region on the screen. The projector projects so as to form the reference with the average luminance of 10 % or 30 % of the maximum luminance at the video to the peripheral edge. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
