PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrinkles when a fixing belt enters a 2nd heating body. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with the fixing belt 8 for carrying a recording medium, a heating roller 2 which is positioned in the engagement start position S of the recording medium with reference to the fixing belt 8 and around which the fixing belt 8 is wound, and the heating body 3 positioned inside the fixing belt 8 and for heating the fixing belt 8 at a position opposed to the passing path of the recording medium which is carried by the fixing belt 8, and a distance X between the heating roller 2 and the heating body 3 is set to be≤20mm in a non-contact state.
