PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fixed valve element from being shaken in a rotational direction when the valve element of a butterfly valve is maintained at a fully-closed position. SOLUTION: A fixing surface 21a on one valve rod side corresponding to the full-closed position is formed on an outer circumferential surface of a valve rod 4, a pin hole 23 is formed in a stand 7 fixed to a valve box, and a reference line L orthogonal to the axis 5 of the valve rod 4 is set. The reference line L is parallel to the fixing surface 21a on one valve rod side when the valve element is at the fully-closed position, and the axis 23a of the pin hole 23 is inclined to the reference line L. An opening part 24 opened toward the outer circumferential surface of the valve rod 4 is formed in a middle portion of the pin hole 23, a pin side fixing surface 26 which is inclined to the axis 25a of a fixed pin 25 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the fixed pin 25, and the angle of inclination of the axis 23a of the pin hole 23 and the angle of inclination of the pin side fixing surface 26 are set to be the same predetermined value A.
