PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for rotatably supporting a shaft member, wherein suppression of lubricating-oil consumption and retention of a good lubrication state between the shaft member and the bearing are compatible with each other. SOLUTION: Platelike bearing members (bearing metals) 41, 42 constitute the bearing structure for rotatably supporting a crank journal 30 of an engine. Notches 41d 42d formed at ends of the inside peripheries 41a, 42a of the bearing members 41, 42 are covered with soft materials 41e, 42e. As the soft materials 41e, 42e, materials (e.g. alloys) which are easily worn by slide-contact to an outside periphery 30a of the crank journal 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
