PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a heat protective material using heat-resistant metal which has been developed to cope with exposition of high-temperature environment at≥500°C in a vicinity of a thrust generator of a satellite in comparison with a conventional MLI has defects in weight, workability, cost, and heat resistance. SOLUTION: Problems of weight, cost and workability can be solved by using a multi-layered heat insulating material in which heat-resistant metal (e.g., titanium) is formed into thin films, and laminated. Metal films are laminated by using heat-resistant metal wires, the metal films are embossed to suppress contact of the films with each other to a minimum, and the heat insulation is enhanced. In addition, the outermost metal film of the MLI is cut larger than other components, and folded into the metal film of the innermost layer, and end parts are folded twice and enveloped. The number of contacts and the interlayer heat resistance are increased, the out-of-plane heat conduction leak (in the lamination direction) is reduced, and the heat insulation performance is maintained thereby.
