PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cosmetic generating no scum, having good spreadability with moist feeling without giving sticky feeling or stimulating the skin. SOLUTION: This cosmetic contains (a) a silk protein mainly comprising a noncrystalline silk fibroin and (b) at least one substance selected from the group consisting of an aqueous polymeric compound, oily substance, moisturizer, antiinflammatory agent, whitening agent and ultraviolet-absorbing or scattering agent.
