The row of flat components sealed one upon the other form an envelope (18) which is designed to house a folded airbag, comprises a flexible relatively tension-proof material, has at least one nominal weakened line (8) designed to yield during expansion of the airbag, and has at least one fastening seam (16,17) at the place where opposite lying parts (13) of the material are fastened to each other. A weakened line (9) is provided between each two interconnected flat components in conjunction with the separation. An independent claim is included for a roll of the aforesaid envelopes.
