<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photograph printing device capable of accurately setting a black gradation value inputted to a color management system, without depending on an operator's skill. <P>SOLUTION: An image exposure device EX conducts exposure operation according to image data including a set gradation variance pattern. Based on measurements measured by a photographic density measuring device 5c for an image formed by the exposure operation on photosensitive material PS, a lowest photographic density value and its exposure color corresponding to the value are identified among developed colors corresponding to each exposure color, in photographic density values for a part where each of all exposure colors is exposed with a gradation value corresponding to a maximum amount of exposure. As for other exposure colors, a gradation value producing a value equivalent to or close to the lowest photographic density value is identified.
