<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of normally stably discharging even when dirt such as dust is adhered to an ionizer charging the dirt contained in sucked air by corona discharge. <P>SOLUTION: This air cleaner consists of a shaft 16 vertically and rotatably pivoting the ionizer 15 for corona discharge, a discharge electrode 17 consisting of a plurality of electrode needles vertically arranged on the shaft 16 and projected from the base part and the side surface of the base part, and a counter electrode 18 made of a net body rotating around the discharge electrode 17 and formed in a cylindrical shape, thereby permitting normal and stable corona discharge at a portion where no dirt or dust is adhered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
