<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw conveyor capable of recovering coolant efficiently even in transporting sludge, which is suitable for a recovery device for coolant and sludge. <P>SOLUTION: The conveyor has a long casing 21, a screw 22 arranged in the bottom part 21a in a longitudinal direction, a driving part 23 provided at one end to drive the screw, a cylindrical opening 24 provided at the other end, an almost U-shaped cross-sectional part 25 in which the upper surface of the casing is opened to permit a transporting object to be dropped, and a liquid discharge port 26 provided in the lower surface of the one end side. The opening sectional area of the cylindrical opening is gradually increased, and the sectional axis 24a is inclined to the upper surface. The conveyor is arranged in a diagonally upward direction so that the discharge port is placed on the downside and the opening on the upside. It is further arranged between the dispensing devices 4a, 5a, 6a of the separating devices 4, 5, 6 of the coolant and a stirring and dispensing device 40, thereby the sludge 14 and the coolant 14' are efficiently recovered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
