PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent transfer efficiency. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin and a colorant, and the toner particles of the toner have anisotropy by orientation of the binder resin. The toner particles are nearly fusiform, and when the length of the toner particles in the major axis direction is represented by L<SB>2</SB>and a length in the minor axis direction by L<SB>3</SB>, the relation of 1.05≤L<SB>2</SB>/L<SB>3</SB>≤2.0 is satisfied. An average circularity R of the toner is 0.90-0.98. An average particle diameter of the toner is 3-12μm. The binder resin comprises an uncrosslinked polyester.
