PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetizer for a permanent magnet rotor in which even a permanent magnet rotor having eccentric magnets can be magnetized well. SOLUTION: The magnetizer 4 for a permanent magnet rotor 1 comprises a hollow magnetizing yoke 5 having slots 8 and teeth 6 on the inner circumference, and a coil 7 wound around the teeth 6 wherein eccentric magnets 2 are arranged on the outer circumference of a rotor 1. Each of the teeth 6 provided in the magnetizing yoke 5 has a forward end shapes combining a circular arc 6a eccentric along the outer circumference of the eccentric magnet 2 of the rotor 1, and a circular arc 6b centering about the center of the rotor 1.
