PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor capable of shortening the overall length of a drive shaft in an axial direction and enabling reduction in size and manufacturing cost, a driving device with the motor, and an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: An extension portion 32e extended to the outside of a bearing 34a is formed at the end of a worm shaft 32a, and a protruding spline 32s which is a first coupling portion capable of moving in the axial direction, however, restrained in its rotational direction is formed at the outer periphery surface of the extension portion 32e. On the other hand, a cylindrical member is fixed at one end of an output shaft 13a of a steering auxiliary motor 13, and a spline groove 13s in which the protruding spline 32s which is a second coupling portion is fitted is formed at the inner periphery surface of the cylindrical member to position a part of the spline groove 13s at a position of a bearing portion of a bearing 41. The rotational force of the motor 13 is fed to a steering shaft through a worm and a worm wheel by spline coupling. The axial position of a spline coupling portion is wrapped with the bearing 41 portion, thus remarkably shortening the overall length in the axial direction of the worm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
